Galácticos and Goals Galore

Hello, Madridistas!  Apologies for the lack of updates on my part, but I'm back and my oh my!  Our blancos have built some momentum and continue to do well in 2013.  In spite of the few setbacks of having San Iker sidelined due to injury, the men shone brightly at home.  Solidarity.  We have it in spades.  Cristiano Ronaldo left the Bernabéu inspired, scoring a perfect hattrick in under 10 minutes in the second half.  Additionally, the Madeira man netted his 100^th goal at the Bernabéu.

A loss for Los Blancos at the Alfonso Pérez

Los Blancos played Getafe tonight in an away match at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, with Miguel Ángel Pérez Lasa officiating the match.  This would be Madrid's second match in La Liga, and after a frustrating 1-1 draw against Valencia in Jornada 1, a win was most welcome.  Unfortunately, things did not turn out that way for the men in white.

After a frustrating start of the game, Madrid got its groove in the 27^th minute when Pipita Higuaín broke the deadlock.  The Argentine scored with a left-footed shot from the left side of the six-yard box to the high center of goal.  Amazing!  Getafe too had opportunities of equalizing minutes later, with Ángel Lafita and David Abraham, but the attempts were blocked and went wide, respectively.
