RM hope to rack a win against Levante in Jornada 11

Los Blancos play their 11th match this La Liga season in an away match against Levante at the Ciudad de Valencia.  In the past six matches of the season, Real Madrid tallied up an impressive five wins, drawing only once against the Valencian team.  Team manager José Mourinho tabbed 20 men for duty this upcoming fixture, including Fabio Coentrão, who has been M.I.A. since his injury during international week.  Players not included include Marcelo, Sami Khedira, Karim Benzema, and Pipita Higuaín due to injury.  Not to worry, Madridistas.  Mourinho has called upon the services of Mesut Özil, Ángel di María, José Callejón, and the ever present Cristiano Ronaldo for his attacking side.

Crucial Game for Manchester City Against Ajax

"We don’t have experience as a club, but our players do have experience in the Champions” – Mancini

Manchester City arrived in Holland Tuesday morning to prepare for a critical Champions League match against Ajax.  The EPL giants have only obtained a mere one point out of six possible in the past two matches against Real Madrid and Dortmund.

21 Blancos tabbed for duty against Dortmund

Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund in an away UEFA Champions League match at Signal Iduna Park.  This will be the third UCL match for los Blancos in this campaign and the men sit pretty on top as top scorers of the competition.  Mourinho has called upon 21 men for the match against Dortmund, selecting all available first-teamers.  Those who did not make the cut include injured players Fabio Coentrão, Álvaro Arbeloa, and Marcelo.  Coentrão and Arbeloa were absent from training sessions at Valdebebas, continuing their recovery processes.  Today was RM's last training session at home before flying to the German city.

Galáctico-squared Match Preview

Photo-op from WFC 2011
At last, at last.  The day has arrived for the galáctico-squared match between LA Galaxy and Real Madrid.  This is not the first time that the two clubs have faced one another.  In fact, this will be their fourth meeting at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Cal., with Los Blancos have won all past matches (2005, 2-0; 2010, 3-2; 2011, 4-1).

This friendly is integral for the sport's development within the United States in addition to the financial health of the MLS.  Indeed, this club friendly has been greeted with wide network coverage.  But why not?  Especially with stars Cristiano Ronaldo, Iker Casillas, David Beckham, and Landon Donovan on pitch?

UEFA Euro 2012: Netherlands vs. Denmark Match Preview

The Dutch and Danish will go head-to-head this Saturday in Kharkiv at the Oblasny SportKomplex Metalist.  Both sides seem to be top form, with Netherlands's Joris Mathijsen as the only doubtful due to a hamstring injury.

Denmark does not score much or often, but have the ability to linger back and attack the opponent on the break. They have the ability to create problems for the Dutch side, particularly for strikers Klaas Jan Huntelaar and Robin Van Persie.

UEFA Euro 2012: Germany vs. Portugal Match Preview

Germany and Portugal will meet this Saturday, June 9th in L'viv at L'viv Arena.  The last these two nations met in the European Championship in group stages, the Portuguese came out on top while Germany finished bottom.

As the days wind down, Portugal faces a challenge, as Nani may not be fully fit to feature Saturday's match.  His pace on pitch proves to be an important factor for Portugal's front line, which typically falls short in instincts when in front of goal.  Some media outlets have reported that the Manchester United man will definitely play, but all signs point to a decision day of.

As for Germany, the team appears ready for the match, the players being more aware of the problems they could encounter against Portugal.  Midfielder Sami Khedira believes that Germany has the drive and stated, "We need to play tight defense [against Portugal], take away [their] space so [they] can lose [their] desire to play."

In the last three meetings between the two nations, the Germans have a 2-1 advantage.

The first they met was back in 2000 during Group Stages of the Euro, where Portugal soundly defeated Germany.  Sérgio Conceição bagged a hattrick, ending Germany's lackluster campaign.
