Manchester City Remain the Only Unbeaten Team in EPL

After Sunday’s match against Tottenham, the Blues remain without a defeat after 11 matches this season.  The club has not seen a defeat in 35 EPL matches at the Etihad Stadium.

Tottenham Steven Caulker scored the first goal of the match at the 21st minute; however, Kun and Dzeko scored two goals giving the blues a well-deserved victory.

Redknapp Denies Resignation Rumors

In response to the resignation rumors, Tottenham Hotspurs manager Harry Redknapp told ESPN this week that the allegations were false. Redknapp has no intention on resigning with having one more year on his contract so it can be safe to say that this 65-year-old isn't leaving White Hart Lane-yet.

The reasons as to why there were rumors of Harry quitting had to deal with the aspect of his contract negotiation offer with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy. It has been known for quite some time now that Levy's relationship with Redknapp is at its breaking point. Some fans could say that Redknapps' outwardly confession of wanting the job of England's manager last month could have coast him the new contract deal and that perhaps honesty wasn't the best policy for Redknapps case.

Chelsea Secure FA Cup Final Appearance

The Blues played an outstanding match against The Spurs and won it with nothing short of style.  With their impressive 5-1 rout over the Spurs, the Blue crew secured their 4th FA cup final since the opening of the new Wembley, setting up a match against Liverpool on May 5th.
The first half initially was dominated by the away team and it seemed as if deadlock would have to be broken until after intermission, but just three minutes before the half, Didier Drogba would score the game’s first goal with a trademark strike, which flew past Carlo Cudicini.  Not long after the clock started again after the half, it would be Juan Mata that would give our boys in blue the 2-nil advantage with a rather controversial strike but nevertheless the replays would be inconclusive and the goal would count.

Tottenham Losing Steam as Norwich Steals Victory

Norwich 2-1 Tottenham
Pilkington 13' Defoe 33'
Bennett 66'

This Easter Monday worked no miracles for the Spurs against Norwich City as they left White Hart Lane defeated 1-2. After another loss for Harry and his boys, things seem a bit more personal. Ever since his acquittal on tax charges it seems like everything has fallen downhill for the Spurs and frankly it’s becoming insufferable. Finishing top four in the League is looking more and more distant if Spurs cannot beat Norwich or Stoke at home. After a great run of success, many fans believe it’s time for Redknapp to pack his bags and leave. Too many points have been dropped on their part through the fault of poor strategy and defense. This loss could possibly make the FA think twice as to whether Redknapp is still the right man for the job as England's manager, and without his loyal fans to back him up anymore he's looking pretty lonely out there in the open.

It goes without saying that Norwich deserved the win however after seeing the Spurs play a very dull match.

Tottenham Draw at Stamford Bridge

Tottenham faced Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this Saturday and the results were anything but riveting.  Even though the game lacked some spectacular quarrel, it still counted as a victory for the Spurs as it marked a top-four finish at the Barclays Premier League.

A victory for Tottenham brought woe to Chelsea as they struggle to make it to the Champion’s League for next season.

Needless to say, both teams had many chances to score; Spurs' very own Rafael van der Vaart and Emmanuel Adebayor both missed virtual opening goals.

Breaking News: Bolton's Fabrice Muamba Suffers Cardiac Incident

At the 42' minute mark, Bolton's Fabrice Muamba collapsed in the middle of pitch.  From the grave tone of ESPN commentator Jon Champion and the body language of the players, one could see that it was extremely serious.  The look of complete shock said it all.  The 23-year-old went down, no one near him.  The whole crowd grew silent as medical staff from both teams gathered around Muamba.  The attempts to resuscitate him were still ongoing to the point a defibrillator was brought out.  He was taken off pitch on a stretcher, ESPN reporting that he was not breathing as he was taken down the tunnel.

The game has officially been abandoned.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Muamba and his loved ones.

UPDATE: Muamba is still receiving CPR on route to the hospital.
UPDATE 656PM: Bolton releases official statement to confirm the incident.
"Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Fabrice Muamba has been taken to hospital following his collapse at White Hart Lane this evening during the FA Cup quarter-final.
There is no further information at this stage."

Tottenham Advances to FA Cup Quarterfinal

Spurs fans have a lot of rejoicing to do as striker Jermaine Defoe finally broke the Spurs' losing streak this Wednesday as he and his team finally ran out 3-1 winners in their FA Cup fifth round replay against Stevenage at White Hart Lane.

The game, however, started poorly for Hotspur.  Four minutes Shortly before the half hour mark, Defoe ranged home with his left foot from 20 yards to level at 1-1 after Stevenage took an early lead from the penalty spot scored by Joel Byrom.

In between Defoe's goals, substitute Emmanuel Adebayor slotted home a vital penalty right past Chris Day's feet 10 minutes after half time when Gareth Bale was fouled by Mark Roberts.

Defoe was there yet again to make the tie safe with another clinical goal which came after quick thinking from Bale, who found Defoe's run in behind with a long throw. This finish made it 3-1 in at the stroke of the 74th minute.

Despite Gary Smith's men put in effort throughout the match, they fell short on numerous occasions.  This is exemplified when seeing Stevenage come close to leveling on 65 minutes when Scott Laird rose to dominate Byrom's corner onto the underside of the crossbar and out to safety.

ManUtd Knocks Spurs out of the Race for the Premier League Title

After Sunday’s victory over Tottenham at White Hart Lane in London, Manchester United continue their Premier League title push under great pressure.

The victory put the defending champion’s two points behind leader Manchester City and 11 points ahead of third-place Tottenham.

The Hotspurs were down several players due to injury, but they knew that with or without those keys players such as Scott Parker, Rafael van der Vaart, and Gareth Bale it would still be a difficult task to beat second-place Manchester United.

United Steal Victory at White Hart Lane

The Red Devils took on Tottenham Hotspur this past Sunday at Whitehart Lane, earning an important three points toward their Premiere League endeavor. The injury plagued Hotspurs, who have surprised the football world and held down third place in the EPL, controlled much of the ball and kept steady pressure on United defense.

Arsenal, The Comeback Club

Call it what you want— brilliant, blissful, superb— just a short list of words to describe how the red and white nation feel right now. With two losses in their rear view mirror, the Gunners had a lot to prove in this heavily contested match played on home turf against 3rd place powerhouse, Tottenham Hotspur. The match started with an early lead by the Spurs as Louis Saha’s opener found the boot of Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen, who deflected the ball into the net just four minutes in.  Hotspur would go on take a 2-0 lead after a highly disputed penalty by Emmanuel Adebayor.

North London Derby Recap: Arsenal 5 - 2 Tottenham Hotspur

Fewer games fill both set of fans with as much excitement and dread as the North London Derby, and it never fails to deliver maximum entertainment. This particular one is no exception as the home team came back from a 2 goal deficit to winning the game at 5-2. Four different Arsenal goalscorers graced the scoresheet today, three of which are not the usual names people expected.

Tottenham Power Through New Castle

A long week of agony and chaos for Harry Redknapp came to an end as his team triumphed and won over the crowd at White Hart Lane this Saturday.

The horrible burden hovering above him during his trial for tax evasion seemed to vanish as Redknapp watched his team produce a dazzling performance that left Newcastle dumbfounded.

No doubt his was football at its finest for Redknapp as his team demonstrated a combination of both quick precision and concise accuracy.

A Battle With No Result: Liverpool Draw At Home Against Tottenham

Liverpool 0 : 0 Tottenham
Anfield set an ominous stage for the Premier League clash between Liverpool and Tottenham, with the fog that settled in clearing away less than an hour before kickoff.
Anfield covered in fog.
Tottenham came to Anfield fresh off their FA Cup win and without their manager. Harry Redknapp was due to fly from London, where his trial on charges of cheating the public revenue are still underway, before his plane had unexpected technical issues, rendering him decidedly ineffective to his men. Spurs has been without its manager before, however, in November, when Redknapp missed three weeks after a heart procedure.

Bale Conquers at White Hart Lane

Sonny has Cher, Simon has Garfunkel, and now Redknapp has Bale.  Tottenham Hotspurs super star Gareth Bale has team manager Harry Redknapp “dancing like a two-year-old.”  Tuesday night’s match was a joyous event for the Spurs as they took home the win with a 3-1 score against Wigan Athletic.

This was Gareth Bale's return to the starting line-up after missing Friday night's FA Cup win at Watford last week, but he did more than make up for it during this match.
The raging bull player played with quick precision and great velocity that was able to help him score twice in the match.

Joining Gareth on the field for the first time were Ledley King, Niko Kranjcar, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Tottenham Find Success in FA Cup

Harry Redknapp should have something to rejoice about after his Tottenham Hotspurs  progressed to the FA Cup fifth round earlier this week.  After taking a break from denying two counts of cheating the public revenue, the club’s 1-0 victory against Watford should have Harry at ease for the time being.  Tottenham fielded 11 strong players that included the likes of Luka Modric, Scott Parker, Emmanuel Adebayor, Jermain Defoe, Rafael Van der Vaart, and Michael Dawson.  Van der Vaart, however, was the one to score the team’s lone goal after receiving a beautiful pass from Kyle Walker just before half-time.  The strike was at range and caught the keeper off guard.  Watford plunged onto the field vigorously after the Spurs first goal, but was unable to find an equalizer.

Tottenham Adds Points

On Saturday, December 3rd, Tottenham Hotspurs slaughtered Bolton Wanderers on the field with a 3-0 victory. It was clear from the beginning that Bolton's manager Owen Coyle's men didn't stand a chance. Seven minutes into the game Gareth Bale scored the opening goal with a near post shot, assisted by Luka Modric. Shortly after, Bolton got into a bit of a rough patch as they lost defensive player Gary Cahill to a red card for tripping Scott Parker in the first 18 minutes.  The rest of the Spurs goals took place during the second half from star strikers Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe.

Tottenham loses points at EUFA Europe League

There can only be one word to describe Tottenham’s performance this Wednesday at the UEFA Europe League: sloppy. The Spurs faced off against PAOK Saloaka at home this Wednesday, November 30th, and the results were not good for the Spurs.
Harry Redknapp was disappointed indeed at the way his team played the first 20 minutes of the match. The team’s messy performances gave PAOK an advantage and a final victory of 2-1, with goals from Stefanos Athanasiadis and Dimitris Salpindis. Some relief was of course granted when Kostas Stafylidis was sent away with a red card for handling Harry Kane’s goal bound effort allowing Luka Modric to score the team’s first goal from the consequent penalty spot. Jermain Defoe got in a goal but was dismissed when the referee became aware of Defoe’s foul on Pablo Contreras, leaving Spurs fans frantic.  Since there was no equalizer in the second half and the only goal came from Modric, the Spurs lost the match. This North London club’s hopes of qualifying to the next round from group A look pretty slim. Now, their only hope now is to beat those talented Russians when the time comes.

Tottenham Hotspur Heating Up

Tottenham Hotspur brought home another victory this Saturday against West Bromwich Albion, closing out the match 3-1. Scoring opened up within the first ten minutes of play when West Bromwich’s Youssouf Mulumbu found the back of the net with a well placed header.  West Bromwich gave up a penalty kick mid-half, giving Emmanuel Adebayor a chance to level the score.  Despite a weak shot, Adebayor was able to collect the rebound and properly net the ball.

Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp had nothing but praise for Jermain Defoe, who replaced an injured Rafael Van der Vaart.  His top form was exactly what the team needed.  It was Defoe’s goal in the 81st minute that put Tottenham ahead.  To put the nail in the coffin, Adebayor slotted Totttenham’s final goal with the help of Gareth Bale.
