El Super Clásico Fast Approaching

Inward Investment Job Description
It’s that time my fellow Americanistas: El Super Clásico!  With the date fast approaching, both El America and Las Chivas are training for this grand event, which both teams are hoping to win.  Las Aguilas want to win, not only because of the lack of wins during Apertura 2011, but because the game is being held at the Estadio Azteca, home of Las Aguilas.  Losing a Super Clásico game would be bad enough, but losing it at home would be even more embarassing!

I do have some bad news though: Patricio “El Pato” Treviño received surgery Tuesday from the injury suffered to his right knee during the game against Monterrey this past Saturday.  His rehabilitation time is expected to be five months, so he will most definitely not be in the game this Sunday.

Let’s just hope this will be a good game.  In my opinion, and as many can agree, Clásico games get boring.  Both teams seem tense and afraid to make a wrong move or to take a chance.  Maybe with the younger players that Tena has put into Las Aguilas that will change?  Let’s sure hope so!
