Miguel Herrera, New Club America Head Coach

Guess what my fellow Americanistas!?  The team has a new coach!  The announcement was made indicating that Miguel Herrera would take over Tena’s job as head coach of the team.  It is now up to him to decide which players are going to be part of his game plan for the tournament Clausura in 2012.

The fans have waited for news on the future of Club America and after putting all the players on the transferable list, the players as well as the fans, have been waiting to see which players are staying on the team for Clausura 2012.  That decision was to be made on November 22nd and, to everyone’s surprise, nothing was decided about which players were to stay and which were to be transferred to other teams.  Miguel Herrera said all players were going to start training for Clausura 2012, even if they are to be transferred.

One player that did not show up to the first training of Club America was Angel Reyna.  Reyna has been “set aside”, per say, after his rampage to the press about the team’s defense and didn’t even attend the one-on-one talk with Pelaez.  I have a feeling that Reyna may be on the top list of transferred players.

As always, I will keep you updated on news about the team!
