Tottenham Hotspur
brought home another victory this Saturday against West Bromwich Albion,
closing out the match 3-1. Scoring opened up within the first ten minutes of
play when West Bromwich’s Youssouf Mulumbu found the back of the net with a
well placed header. West Bromwich
gave up a penalty kick mid-half, giving Emmanuel Adebayor a chance to
level the score. Despite a weak
shot, Adebayor was able to collect the rebound and properly net the ball.
Hotspur manager Harry
Redknapp had nothing but praise for Jermain Defoe, who replaced an injured
Rafael Van der Vaart. His top
form was exactly what the team needed.
It was Defoe’s goal in the 81st minute that put Tottenham
ahead. To put the nail in the
coffin, Adebayor slotted Totttenham’s final goal with the help of Gareth Bale.
Adebayor’s top-notch
performance in Tottenham's victory should make Manchester City rethink
their decision to send him away on loan for the season. These thoughts, however, will fall on
deaf ears; Man City can’t afford to bring him back.
Tottenham stars
Rafael Van der Vaart and Luka Modric are both out of commission at the
moment. With this victory fresh in
mind, Harry Redknapp will have some roster adjusting to do if he wants to keep
his winning ways.
