Hello fans, here I am again giving you the
4-1-1 on Las Aguilas del America. This weekend they played against Atlas
in Guadalajara, Jalisco. The game began with 45 minutes of constant rain
but that did not stop either team from playing their hardest. Atlas
opened the score board—Hugo Rodriguez scored at minute 33 after a corner kick. America
wasn’t far behind though. Paul Aguilar scored for Las Aguilas five
minutes later at minute 38 after a pass by Christian Bermudez. The game
ended with a tie of 1-1, leaving America ranking in at number 9 in the table.
I don’t remember if I told you about Juan Carlos “El Topo” Valenzuela’s injury
during the game against Tigres 2 weeks ago, if I didn’t I apologize. During
the game, El Topo suffered an injury and was carried off the field. In an
interview he had this weekend he said that he was getting better but that he
didn’t want to “accelerate the recuperating process.” It was announced
that he would be out for at least three weeks, but now he and the managers don’t
have a set time for him to return to the field. Not only did he suffer a
muscular lesion, but three other members of the team are injured as well—
Daniel Montenegro, Moises Muñoz and Rosinel Adolfo.
It’s a little weird that so many players are injured, don’t you think? Could it
be that El Piojo Herrera is pushing them to hard? I mean after saying that he
is expecting 30 total points on the score board; one would think that the
training is intense, right? All four of the injured players have come out
and said that they are training exactly the same as always— sure they train a
little harder, but they assure there isn’t strenuous physical activity that
would cause them to all get injured. For now we can just hope they all
recover and get back out there and give us great games!
