Manchester City Struggles on September

September for Manchester City is not looking as bright as everyone expected.   This month, ManCity has only won one game, tied two, and lost two (1-2-2).  In a positive side, Sergio Aguero is back and played against Arsenal (final 1-1).  The striker had five clear opportunities but lacked the final touch to the net.   Perhaps his one-month absence impacted his precision. City is currently in 7th place with nine points.

Today, Manchester City were surpassed by Aston Villa 4-2.  “Roberto Mancini admitted that Aston Villa were worthy winners of the Capital One Cup third round clash at the Etihad Stadium.” MCFC

“We were unlucky because we had chances but we conceded goals which we made mistakes on and they deserved to go through,” said Mancini.

“To play after just 48 hours rest is very difficult – we changed a lot of players but I think that when the situation is like this, we can do nothing but understand our mistakes and think about how we can get back to our best in the future.” Roberto Mancini.

Manchester City’s next opponents are Fulham (BPL), September 29th and Dortmund (UEFA CL), October 3rd.
