RM win 2-1 over Levante in less than desirable conditions

Levante 1-2 Real Madrid
Ángel (62') - Cristiano (21'), Álvaro Morata (84')

In spite of the torrential downpour, los Blancos soldiered on at the Ciudad de Valencia, clinching a close 2-1 win over Levante UD.  The victory in no means was an easy one as the Valencian side put up an impressive fight to hold the men off.  Cristiano Ronaldo would open up the score sheet at the 21' minute mark, with a right-footed shot from very close range to the high center of goal following a set piece.  Xabi Alonso whipped a free kick and the ball happened to find its way to the Madeira man, who controlled the ball with his thigh.

A flurry of yellow cards and another half later would result in Levante scoring their equalizer, which left many a Madridista in shock.  Ángel would score Levante's first and only goal of evening, with a right-footed shot from the right side of the six-yard box to the top left corner, Obafemi Martíns at the assist with a through ball.

Álvaro Morata would be Madrid's blanco in shining armor at the 84' minute mark.  The Cantera man, who had come on as Mesut Özil's substitute, would score a mere minute after stepping foot on pitch.  The 20-year-old would score with his first touch, with a header to the high center of goal, Xabi Alonso at the assist with a cross following a set piece.  What an incredible goal from Álvarito!  Dream debut indeed.

Real Madrid face Bilbao at home in La Liga Saturday, November 17th.  Following shortly after will be the second leg up against Manchester City in the Champions League Wednesday, November 21st at the Etihad.  Until then, keep calm and ¡Hala Madrid!
