Is Pep Guardiola on his
way to Bayern Munich? Twitter imploded
today tweets linking the two powerhouses due to a supposed report from Sky
Italia. However, the report of circulating around the negotiation mysteriously
disappeared from their site or perhaps it did not exist in the first place. Nevertheless, the high number of people
buzzing about the possible link brought the question of what Pep would do once his sabbatical was over to the forefront again (as if it truly went away in the first place). Bayern Munich is but
one of the clubs he has been linked to.
The laundry list includes the likes of Manchester United, Manchester
City, AC Milan, and Chelsea FC.
Intrigued, I typed
"Pep to Bayern?" into the search bar and Google provided a plethora
of possible negotiations. In the midst of
the rumor mill, I would like to remind folks that the former Barça coach is on
a year-long sabbatical and his manager has repeatedly reminded press that the
41-year-old would not even consider offers at this time. Additionally, current Bayern Munich coach
Jupp Heynckes has done great things for the club. Is the Bundesliga team ready to part
ways? Yes, Heynckes' contract expires at
the end of the season, but the window is still wide open for renewal. The 67-year-old stated that he would wait
until March to make a decision. So for
the time being, proceed with caution.
Pep Guardiola is
currently enjoying his time away from football in the Upper West Side of
Manhattan with his family.
