Jonas, Diego Alves, and Sofiane Feghouli have all been
called up by their respective national teams. Jonas and Diego Alves have been
handed call ups for Brazil by manager Mano Manezes. Jonas has seen time regularly under Manezes in the past, but
with injuries to Robinho and Pato, he will hope to see more minutes in order to
prove himself. Diego Alves is also
being given a chance to shine because of an injury to regular starter Julio
Cesar. Excellent performances in the Champions League surely have won over
Manezes and hopefully Diego Alves will be given a start in order to strut his
stuff. Sofiane Feghouli, on the
other hand, has opted to take a senior call up from Algeria. Feghouli has dual citizenship with
Algeria and France and decided that opportunities with France would be too far
and few between and has instead opted to join the Algerians.
