Club America Dismissed all Players?

After much time and thought, management for Club America finally let out the news of players selected to be transferable into other clubs.  Surprisingly, both to fans as well as players, the entire roster was on the list.  Obviously, after the devastating results of Apertura 2011(8 losses, 6 ties, and only 3 wins), we expected those players who did not put their top performance be transferred or better put, become market for other teams.  But why were all players on the list?!  The reason, management gave, as to putting all of the players on the transferable list was to avoid results like these in future tournaments.  In addition, no rumors have been heard about other teams wanting to get any of the Americanista players.

In other news, Michel Bauer, president of Club America quit this week, also due to the terrible results of the team during the tournament.  Let me just inform you, in the 3 years that Bauer has been president of the team, the team has never been named champion nor seen any accomplishments.  So, after this tournament he decided that it was time for him to leave that team.

On the bright side of things, well as bright as they can get, Enrique Borja, a former football player, announced this week to be interested in becoming the new president of the club.  The only problem as of now, he mentioned, was that he has yet to be contacted with the company that owns the team to actually talk about becoming the next president of the team.

Interesting how things go from bad to worse for the team.  Now that the team has a new coach, there are no players for him to coach.  Good news?  No games in the near future.  News on what will happen to the team are sure to come up soon and as always, I’ll keep you informed!
