Midfielder
Dani Parejo The reasoning behind this is his lack of playing time. Truly,
Parejo has only played in three matches for Valencia this season and has never
completed a full game. Despite his
excellent form and productivity, Parejo hasn’t been able to even secure a
substitute position in Emery’s squad. The player has constantly been in touch with Valencia’s
management, asking if something is wrong, but the club continues to reassure
him. It appears Parejo has finally
had enough and is looking to leave the club in hopes of finding more playing
time. broke his silence early this week announcing to the media that he
is looking for a midseason transfer out of Valencia.Last weekend’s match against Levante seems to have been the final straw for Parejo, as he didn’t see any minutes in a game where the starter, Tino Costa, is supposedly not at full fitness. It is rumored that Parejo will meet with the Valencia management in the coming days to discuss his plans for the future. My guess would be that the Valencia management will convince Parejo to stay on with promises of more playing time (with Canales and Banega injured this is a serious possibility), and if he is still not happy at the end of the season, they may let him go. His transfer cost weighs in at €6 million, so I would hate to see an investment like that go so quickly, especially because he has bags of talent.
