Tottenham Adds Points

On Saturday, December 3rd, Tottenham Hotspurs slaughtered Bolton Wanderers on the field with a 3-0 victory. It was clear from the beginning that Bolton's manager Owen Coyle's men didn't stand a chance. Seven minutes into the game Gareth Bale scored the opening goal with a near post shot, assisted by Luka Modric. Shortly after, Bolton got into a bit of a rough patch as they lost defensive player Gary Cahill to a red card for tripping Scott Parker in the first 18 minutes.  The rest of the Spurs goals took place during the second half from star strikers Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe.

Despite Tottenham's marvelous goals, Bolton still posed a threat as they played excellent defense and made great saves. In the second half, Dedryck Boyata, had a header saved by centre back and Younes Kaboul who made a block on the edge of the box, preventing Mark Davies from scoring and giving Bolton its first goal.  To be honest, Bolton's loss didn't really come as a shock to fans seeing as they lost 10 out of the last 13 opening matches this season so,  this one couldn't have hurt any more than the rest.  As for the Spurs, despite losing their two opening games, Harry Redknapp's team have won 10 and drawn one of their previous 11 matches moving the Spurs into second place in the Premier League and wouldn't be surprised if they finished in the top three. One thing that is certain, however, is that no other team is as entertaining or exciting to watch as the Spurs.
