THEY SHOOT, THEY SCORE!!! Sorry, I’m still
a bit excited about this weekend’s game. America couldn’t have had a
better game! They laid waste to Atlante, winning impressively, 4-0. Atlante was simply shut out
by America’s tight defense. This
is the team’s second consecutive victory—it seems that when they broke the chain of losses at home, they
also boosted the squad’s morale!
Let me get to the details now. America opened the scoring with a goal
from Jesus Molina at minute three after he guided a goal home with his
head. Yes, you read correctly,
minute three! The greatest player on the team thus far in my opinion,
Christian Benitez, didn’t stay far behind. He scored a goal at minute 20
during a penalty kick, setting the score at 2-0 and leaving Atlante both scared
and angry for revenge. Goal three
was scored by “El Hobbit” Bermudez at minute 57 after an error from Atlante’s
goalie. The last, but certainly not the least goal was scored by America’s
new player, Oswaldo Vizcarrondo.
This GREAT game moves Las Aguilas to 15 total points in the Tournament— half
way toward El Piojo’s goal of 30. Not only does it bring joy to the team,
but fans as well. Killing two birds with one stone,
don’t you think?
