America Falls Against Inspired Monarcas!

This weekend America faced off against Monarcas Morelia on the 12th  date of Torneo Clausura 2012. This game was an intense demonstration of what being worthy of a title is, and unfortunately America, with a loss of 3-1, could not keep up with Morelia during the game.

The first goal was scored by Monarca’s player Christian Valdez at Minute 8 of the game.  America players tried hard to keep control of the ball and Aquivaldo Mosquera came close to scoring at Minute 12, but was unable to tie the game.  Monarcas scored once again at minute 20, keeping the game at a 2-point advantage.

America was determined to score, and Christian Benitez was finally able to score at minute 30, giving everyone hope that the game was not going to be run by Monarcas.  But again, unfortunately for America, Mosquera committed a penalty against Monarca player Aldo Leao Ramirez, and Jaime Lozano Ianza scored from the penalty line.  The game ended with Monarcas at a 3-1 victory.

I end my article this week saying that I was unable to provide news about what the team had to say about the game. The reason being, none of the players gave statements regarding the match.
They all continued their path past the media and left journalists with empty questions.  We will see how the team does this weekend when they face off against Monterrey on Sunday.  Until then my friends!
