I was going to write about El Piojo’s comments about last weekend’s game, but
during the interview he gave this week there was no mention of the game against
Xolos. The main discussion was about the upcoming game against Pumas this
weekend. He said, “We are for sure going to win with the attitude the
team is demonstrating because we want to win.” Another thing he mentioned
was that he wanted the team to show off their solidness and to demonstrate that
they are ready for anything. Are you all ready for the game?!
In other news, the International Federation of History and Statistics (IFFHS in
Spanish) posted up the best teams of the past decade. And yes, you
guessed it... Club America is number one! According to the IFFHS, Las
Aguilas are the best team of CONCACAF of the 21st century with 1,372.5 points
to their name, leaving behind the other two great teams of the nation, Las
Chivas del Guadalajara (1,198 points) and Cruz Azul (1.178.5 points). So,
America is going to face off against Pumas this weekend, 7th on the list.
