America Draws on a Monumental Birthday

Inward Investment Job Description

Well, my fellow Americanistas, after this weekend’s game neither the team nor the fans know what it is like to win a game with Alfredo Tena as head of the team.  America tied against Morelia 1-1 on Americanista soil, closing out the 12th day of the 2011 Apertura Tournament.

On minute 11, Morelia player, Miguel Sabah, scored against America, leaving us Americanista on edge all through the first half of the game.  Las Aguilas didn’t score until the 80th minute, thanks to Juan “El Topo” Valenzuela.  In the end with a draw under their belt, Las Aguilas are in 16th place out of 18 teams for La Liguilla while Morelia sits in 14th .

In other news, on October 13, 2011, Las Aguilas Del America turned 95 years old! Las Aguilas is considered as Mexican as its rival team, Las Chivas del Guadalajara.  It is also seen as one of the grandest national soccer teams due to the ten titles its name carries.  Even though the team celebrated a less than stellar 95th birthday following the tie against Morelia, we can only go up from here.
