There’s a new player on the team!
This week, Venezuelen defender Oswaldo Vizcarrondo signed to Club
America with a three year contract.
Yon De Luisa, the president of Club America, commented that Vizcarrondo
is on the team just in time for the Torneo Clausura 2012. Vizcarrondo didn’t make an official
statement to the press, but via his Twitter account he confirmed his contract
with the team and he expressed his excitement about being an Americanista. “I know the requirements that involve
playing for this great institution and I will work hard, day by day, to live up
to them.”
In other news, the forward Vicente Sanchez might be the next Americanista
off the team. Rumor has it that
since the Viscarrondo’s name came was added to the team, management was looking
to see Sanchez off. No one is sure
of what is going to happen to him yet, but this week during the practice for
the game against Monarcas, Sanchez didn’t show up to practices. It’s a little suspicious, especially
since it’s the last friendly before the beginning of Clausura 2012 on January
7th.
