Edison Arantes do Nascimento, better known as Pele scored 75 goals in 1959. Lionel Messi is currently 4 goals away from succeeding what only one man has been able to achieve in a single season.
Another impressive record can be focused in the magic three. To this date, Messi has achieved 23 hat tricks. 15 of the 23 hat tricks took place in La Liga. It is safe to say that the world is once again privileged to see another D10S.
Messi is currently the top scorer at La Liga with 11 goals, followed by Ronaldo (9) and Falcao (9).
